Jason Langer has been exhibiting in major galleries for 20 yrs. He was Michael Kenna's first assistant starting in 1989, and worked as a printer and retoucher for Kenna, Ruth Bernhard, Arthur Tress, James Fee and many others for 15 yrs. He has also been teaching at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco for the past 10 yrs., teaching graduate and undergraduate students about his personal obsession with photography. In 2006, Nazrealli Press published a monograph of Jason's work called "Secret City” which is a journey through damp-lit streets of anonymous cities and is infused with symbolism and intrigue.
